Horse Property Master Planning
Sustainable Stables provides experienced, affordable equestrian facility master planning services, including layout of barns, stables, arenas, pastures, paddocks, equipment/hay storage and related structures. Our planning services start with a brief information gathering phase, we we learn more about your goals and vision for the property, along with reviewing information to inform smart planning. We then proceed to the planning phase.
INFORMATION GATHERING
We start by spending 5 to 10 hours of time (on average) gathering key information about your equestrian property, including reviewing surveys, soils data, topography, wind and climate data, county GIS records, etc., along with learning more about your personal vision for the site.
SITE PLAN/LAYOUT DEVELOPMENT
In this phase, we develop a master site layout plan showing the proposed location and footprint of the various equestrian-related site improvements, often including the barn, arena, pastures & paddocks, dry lots/sacrifice areas and hay/equipment storage areas. We typically include initial, basic 3D-models of the improvements as part of this phase.
